Schezwan Chicken

  • Chicken boneless julienne 1kg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red chili powder 1tbs
  • Red chili flakes 2tvs
  • Lemon juice 4tbs
  • Vinegar 3tbs

    Marinate chicken in the above for a few hours.

  • Corn flour 7tbs
  • Eggs 3-4
  • Chickpea flour 6tbs
  • All purpose flour 1/2cup+ 1/4 cup for dusting
  • Salt and pepper
  • Red chili flakes 1tbs

    Mix the marinated chicken with eggs and then the dry ingredients and deep fry every piece after dusting with flour.

    SAUCE

  • Szechuan sauce 1 cup
  • Tomato ketchup 3/4th cup
  • Oyster sauce 4tbs
  • Fish sauce 4-5tbs
  • Wooster sauce 6tbs
  • Soya sauce 4tbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar 2tbs
  • Red chili flakes 1 tbs
  • Garlic cloves 2 finely chopped
  • Oil 1tbs

Saute garlic in oil then add in rest of the ingredients and simmer on medium low flame for 5-7 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

Taste and adjust spices. Pour over deep fried chicken and serve with Chicken Fried Rice, Vegetable Cashew Nut gravy and Crispy Fried Spring Rolls!
