When the sun goes down…

When the sun goes down,
the fake happiness sets alongside.
The starts shine,
like twinkling lights at a flight.
Darkness hugs the moon while shadows arise.
Shadows of the past, thrill and entice.
Shivers they send, bringing back a shoot of memories.
Crumpled up in a ball, i lay in bed.
Delusionary sights playing their part,
while i try to travel to a deep slumber,
apparently, i’m still stuck here in the worldly affairs.
The screeches, the scoffs, sighs, gasps and words,
all seem familiar, to a voice that once to me had belonged.
Night snatches from me the last of hope i had,
it opens my eyes to the veiled truth.
